A Novel with a Satirical Twist:
GRAEHARES: by J.C.Mills (writing as "LENNOX ST. GEORGE")
When a group of aging baby boomers realize that they can no longer afford to retire, they decide to band together to fight back. Moving north of the city to a dilapidated lakeside resort, nestled amongst the rocks and pines of pristine Lake Muskeggie, they establish a commune they name GRAEHARES.
Elbowing their way into the elite enclave, they set up a slate of odd businesses, in full view of the multi-million dollar vacation homes of their horrified former bosses and colleagues. When they start flooding the town with their bizarre handicrafts - all hell breaks loose.
A jaded war correspondent, sidelined for the summer with a broken leg, inadvertently ends up at GRAEHARES, too, where he begins to observe and document this off-the-wall fight for survival, discovering as much about life, love and the tenacity of the human spirit as he could on any frontline battlefield.
